Music video for Croatian garage rock band TV Eye.
The story.
We received a call in the morning with a sentence: “We’re having our album released tomorrow and we don’t have a video for the next single!”
Our thoughts were: “The band had an album release scheduled for the next day, and they didn’t have a music video for their next single? They needed a video, and they needed it fast. This is gonna be fun”
We sprang into action and told the singer to come over to our studio immediately, and we got to work brainstorming ideas for the video. We had to create a video that was visually interesting, captured the essence of the song, and could be shot and edited in a single day.
By listening to the song on repeat and discussing potential visual concepts we decided that we wanted to create a dreamlike world, with surreal imagery that would match the mood of the song. We pulled together props and costumes from our studio, and set up a variety of backdrops and lighting setups.
Building the concept.
The concept for our upcoming music video centers around a garage rock band with a dynamic singer, a skilled drummer, and two talented guitar players, all supported by a thumping bass guitar. The video is shot on a black background, with multiple videos of the singer blended together to convey his struggles with inner demons.
The driving force behind this video is the raw energy and passion that defines garage rock music. The band’s sound is loud and unapologetic, with each member contributing their unique skills to create a powerful wall of sound.
The singer takes center stage, with his emotive performance capturing the essence of the lyrics. His struggle with inner demons is depicted through a series of videos, each one showcasing a different aspect of his struggle.
The blending of these videos adds an element of chaos to the performance, underscoring the intensity of the emotions at play.
Meanwhile, the guitars, bass, and drums provide the perfect support for the vocalist. The guitar players riff and solo with reckless abandon, while the bass guitar provides a steady backbone to the music. The drummer provides the driving beat that propels the song forward, never letting up on the intensity.
The video is a celebration of the raw power of garage rock music and a testament to the struggles that we all face in life. It’s a reminder that no matter how hard things get, we can always turn to music to help us through.
